Museum Trip

The Robins class went to the Museum of Liverpool today and had a fantastic time. We firstly went into the story tent and read and acted out the story ‘Were going on a Bear Hunt’. We then went on one of the trains and got dressed up as different characters from over 100 years ago. We took part in a story all about these people getting off at different stations along the train journey. After lunch we had time to explore the museum and we saw some great artefacts, like some old footie boots and a medieval bowl and spoon, we even went into the karaoke booth and had a sing and dance!

World Book Day

As part of World Book Day we are looking at the fairytale Hansel and Gretel and have made our very own gingerbread men, they tasted delicious!

Southport Trip

The Robins had a chilly but fabulous day out in Southport. The children had fun climbing around the park, going on the swings and digging in the sand. We went for a walk to the front looking at all the birds and animals along the way; when we got to the beach we collected some shells and listened to all the noises around us. After looking at ourselves in the funny mirrors we had our lunch and then we talked about all the different buildings we could see around Southport. Our final stop was back to the park for a quick climb around before the obligatory ice cream, as we were in Southport! We learnt a lot while we were out and managed to cover out targets in Science, Geography and History

Transport – Cart Making

In class we have been learning about transport. As part of the topic we have been designing and creating our own carts.

Robins Trip to Delamere Forest

The Robins class went on a trip to Delamere Forest to look at seasonal change, which linked into our science topic. They looked at the different trees, the various colours of the leaves and how some of them had fallen onto the ground. The children also discovered a variety of cones and even found a few conkers! They collected lots of different things to bring back to school to have a look at. The children thoroughly enjoyed the trip and loved running around and even discovered the Gruffalo!
